Abstract:
Objectives: To investigate the effect of bioelectrical impedance analysis in assessing upper limb lymphedema after mastectomy for breast cancer. Methods: Nineteen breast cancer patients with upper limb lymphedema received a micronized flavonoid fraction(Daflon 500 mg). Body composition was evaluated by multiple frequency bioelectrical impedance analysis, and the ratio of extracellular water/intracellular water (ECW/ICW) and extracellular water/total body water (ECW/TBW) were calculated.
