Abstract:
Objective To observe the effect of Baduanjin,a health Qigong,on the rehabilitation of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DB)patients.Methods Forty-eight T2DB patients were equally randomized into two groups:group A received routine medicine and Baduanjin exercises,and group B received medicine only,the treatment lasting 24 weeks.The vital capacity(VC),body mass index(BMI),waist-hip ratio,blood glucose and blood lipid levels were detected before and after treatment.Results Compared with those before treatment, the number of patients with increased VC under conditions of standing still or being loaded was increased obviously, BMI and waist-hip ratio were decreased,total cholesterol(TC),fasting blood glucose(FBG)and glycosylated hemoglobin(GHB)levels were decreased,and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)level was increased in group A after doing Baduanjin exercises(P
