Abstract:
Objective The increase in flow Doppler signal was studied after intravenous injection of a new ultrasound contrast agent of surfactant fluorocarbon filled in vivo.Methods The flow Doppler signal was obtained in 5 rabbits with liver VX 2 tumor.Intravenous injection of a new ultrasound contrast agent of surfactant fluorocarbon filled was administered in a dose of 0.1 mg/kg.The increase of intensity and time in the flow Doppler signal were observed.Results An obvious increase of intensity in power Doppler signal and two dimensional signal was observed in the surrounding and centre of liver tumor,and the period of enhancement of power Doppler signals and signals of two dimensions were long.Conclusions The surfactant contrast agent is capable of obvious enhancement of flow Doppler signals and signals of two dimension by intravenous injections.It awaits further research.
