Abstract:
Purpose:To ascertain JH's effects on nm23 expression in liver metastases. Methods:To replicate liver metastasis model, W 256 carcinosarcoma cells were injected into lower part of Wistar rats. At the day of modeling, all rats were randomly divided into JH group and control group. JH group were administrated orally 0.3 ml JH once a day for 21 days; control group were given equal volumes of natural saline in the same way. On the day after experimental therapy was completed, animals were killed, incised tumor nodules, counted the number of metastatic clones on liver, and nm23mRNA were detected by hybridization in situ. Results:JH can markedly inhibit transplanted tumor growth in spleen. As there were only 7.3 2.26 metastatic clones in the JH group, its metastasis inhibitory rate reached as high as 41.6%. The results from hybridization in situ of metastasis tumor tissues showed that the nm23 expression rate in the JH group was 80%, which were significantly higher than that of the control group( P
