Results The clinical characterstics of IVMF were long course and hemorrhage. The hemorrhage was intermittent and self-limited, which mostly showed black stool or positive in occult test. Of 15 examined by angiography, pathological changes were found in 12 coses and 1 was suspected. All 21 cases underwent operations, of them,14 cases were found pathological changes by touch, diaphany and methylene blue injection, while the other 7 cases were confirmed by endoscopy during operation. Conclusion Angiography is an effective method. During the operation, diaphany must be regarded as a routine examination, methylene blue injection is simple and effective, and endoscopy is also very important.
