Abstract:
Objective: To investigate the role of vascular cell adhesion molecule-1(VCAM-1)on macrophage infiltration and recruitment in oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC). Methods:After detecting the expression of VCAM-1 and macrophage infiltration in OSCC by immunohistochemistry, light microscope was used for counting macrophages. Results:The expression level of VCAM-1 (64.58%)and macrophage numbers(81.04?12.00) was significantly higher in OSCC than those in normal oral mucosa.
