Abstract: Poor handwriting of physical examination report written by hand made the subjects discard the report at will and resulted in the decrease of the report effectiveness. Therefore, personal electronic files were used in department of physical examination of our hospital since 2006. By contin-uously improving the functionality of the system, automatic transmission and extraction of medical in-formation have been achieved, better health services have been provided and better conditions have been created for teaching and research. Accuracy rate was significantly improved by electronic files compared with paper files, undetected and error detection rate was significantly decreased and satis-faction with the medical examination was significantly improved.
