Abstract:
Unicompartmental knee arthroplasty remains a controversial subject, but it has gained popularity recently as a minimally invasive surgery for the treatment of isolated medial compartmental osteoarthritis of the knee. However, surgeons must be aware of the severe complications that require a repeat operation. We report on 3 cases of early major complications after unicompartmental knee arthroplasties.
