Abstract:
Recently,collagen cross-linking has been an effective and high-security method for the treatment of primary and secondary corneal ectasia and other low biomechanical diseases.In this article, the technological features of conventional collagen cross-linking, rapid cross-linking and trans-epithelial cross-linking has been summarized together.Furthermore,we launched evaluations on the feasibility of intrastromal corneal ring implantation,femtosecond laser and collagen cross-linking combined with penetrating agent.This article also focused on the application in pediatric patients and other indications of the technique.
