Abstract:
Proteomic studies encompass the analysis of expression levels of proteins as well as protein interactions and post-translational modification which affect protein function from the overall and dynamic point of view.By the comparison and analysis of proteome between physiology and pathology,we can find the specific protein molecule on certain diseases,and it provide the identification markers of the diseases for early diagnosis,and point out the molecule target of the new drugs.At present,proteomic study has been applied in the diagnosis and treatment of multiple fundus diseases,such as age-related macular degeneration,diabetic retinopathy,proliferative vitreoretinopathy,retinal degeneration and rhegmatogenous retinal detachment.However,these researches are only at primary stage.Now,this article reviews the proteomics advancements in vitreous and retinopathy with the focus on the causingblindness diseases.
