Abstract:
The concept of workplace bullying has been explored extensively in other disciplines but not in nursing. This paper is a concept analysis that explores what workplace bullying is among nurses, looks at its attributes and characteristics, and matches previous evidence on the consequences of this incidence. Review of literature was conducted using the EBSCO and Googlescholar databases. Findings suggest that there are personal and professional costs from the victims and the organization when work place bullying is practiced. Thus, examining this topic further may develop nursing research and education, benefiting nursing workplace and work environment.
