Abstract:
The effects of the armed conflict on the emotional and mental health of the people of Pikit were documented by Balik Kalipay (Return to Happiness), a psychosocial rehabilitation project supported by the government of Denmark, the Philippine Business for Social Progress and Oxfam. The program is being undertaken by a team of medical professionals from the University of the Philippines' Center for Integrative and Development Studies and the UP-PGH Department of Psychiatry.
