Abstract:
Study was carried out on 115 patients with breast cancer stage II, IIA who were treated by mastectomy and responded to scanlon at Hue Central Hospital. Results shơed that among them, 21.7% had metastatic recurrence by 5 years. The common recurrence was in chest wall (3.4%). There was relationship between metastatic recurrence and metastatic nodes under armpit. Metastatic recurrence was high when there were node metastasis under armpit with I, II degree. Metastatic recurrence related to clinical and histological period. Overall, 60-month survival rate was 68.2%. Patients with stage IIA have highest survival rate (85.7%). Metastatic lump under armpit related to survival time. 88.7% patients without metastatic lump under armpit had 5-year survival.
