The relationship between some clinical expressions and tests with decreaced TCD4 cells in HIV/AIDS patients

Abstract:
Study on 168 HIV/AIDS patients at the age of 15-64, treated in Dong Da Hospital, Hanoi from January 2003 to March 2004. The patients were divided into 2 groups: group 1 including 67 patients with TCD4=200-499 cells/mm3; group 2 including 101 patients with TCD4<200 cells/mm3. Clinical features and tests between 2 groups were compared to find out the differences. The results: 92.5% of patients in group 1 had clinical features in all A, B, C type; paraclinical changes were common seen as decreased erythrocyte and blood pigment; in group 2: 100% of patients had clinical features in C type. 89.1% of patients had over 2 clinical expressions. Pulmonary tuberculosis had spread characteristics and common combined with outside pulmonary tuberculosis. Biochemical, hematological disorders were seen in high rates
