Abstract:
A study consists of 110 type II diabetic patients who were examined and treated at Army Central Hospital. Results: Insulin concentration and anti insulin index of type II diabetic patients were higher significantly than that in control group (p<0.001). 29.1% of patients had increase of insulin concentration, 70.9% of patients had normal insulin concentration. Type II diabetic patients had lower functional beta cells than control group (p<0.001). Serum insulin concentration and anti insulin index in type II diabetes who had hypertension were higher than group who did not have hypertension (p<0.05). There was no significant differences on beta cell function between type II diabetic patients with and without hypertension.
