Effect of radical surgery for CD4+ CD25+ regulatory T cells in peripheral blood of patients with gastric cancer

Abstract:
Objective To investigate the efforts of CD4+ CD25+ regulatory T (Treg) cell adjustment of Treg cells proportion in peripheral blood of patients with gastric cancer before or after surgery.Methods The peripheral blood samples were collected from 10 healthy volunteers,58 gastric cancer patients 2 days before and 7 days after operation.The proportion of Treg cells in peripheral blood were detected by flow cytometry.Results CD4+ CD25+ Treg cell in peripheral blood of patients with gastric cancer increased significantly compared with that of healthy control group (1.1±0.4) ％ / (1.5±0.5) ％ (P ＜ 0.05),and further increased after operation (1.5±0.55) ％ / (1.9±0.8) ％ (P ＜ 0.01).Conclusion The anti-tumor activity in gastric cancer patients is inhibited and surgery may be involved immune defection to decrease this effort.
