The application of ultrasonography in early diabetic nephropathy

Abstract:
Objective To study value of ultrasonography in early diabetic nephropathy.Methods 60 patients with early diabetic nephropathy were enrolled into the observation group and 30 healthy people were enrolled into the control group.Ultrasound was used to measure all renal artery segment that peak systolic velocity( PSV) ,end-diastolic flow velocity( EDV) ,and calculate the pulsatility index( PI) and resistance index( RI) .Serum high sensitivity C reactive protein( hs-CRP) was measured.Results In the control group,renal artery,segmental artery and the artery between the leaves of PSV were (66.1 ±12.1) cm/s,(44.3 ±11.3) cm/s,(27.9 ±9.1) cm/s.In the observation group,renal artery,segmental artery and the artery between the leaves of PSV were (53.6 ±9.2) cm/s,(38.1 ± 8.2)cm/s,(21.1 ±6.2) cm/s.Renal artery,segmental artery,interlobar artery PSV in the observation group were lower than those of the control group(t =3.964,4.016,2.726,all P<0.05).In the control group,renal artery, segmental artery and the artery between the leaves of EDV were (25.1 ±6.5)cm/s,(18.6 ±7.1)cm/s,(11.2 ± 5.6)cm/s and (11.2 ±5.4) cm/s,(9.6 ±4.1) cm/s,(6.2 ±3.5) cm/s in the observation group.Renal artery, segmental artery,interlobar artery EDV in the observation group were lower than those of the control group( t=4.972, 6.014,5.112,all P<0.05).Renal artery,segmental artery and the artery between the leaves of RI in the control group were (0.51 ±0.08),(0.42 ±0.06),(0.41 ±0.07) and (0.59 ±0.09),(0.59 ±0.07),(0.53 ±0.05) in the observation group.Renal artery,segmental artery,interlobar artery RI in the observation group were higher than those of the control group(t =2.061,2.916,3.142,all P <0.05).Renal artery,segmental artery and the artery between the leaves of PI in the control group were (0.82 ±0.16),(0.71 ±0.12),(0.62 ±0.09) and (0.91 ± 0.18),(0.82 ±0.11),(0.75 ±0.06) in the observation group.Renal artery,segmental artery,interlobar artery PI in the observation group were higher than those of the control group(t =3.716,2.612,2.468,all P <0.05). Conclusion Early diabetic nephropathy in renal blood flow is abnormal,ultrasonography can determine the severity.
