Abstract:
Objective To evaluate the value of MR imaging in diagnosing autologous lashes within rabbit vitreous body. Methods 5 lashes were placed into the right vitreous bodys in 24 experimental animals. All of the experimental animals underwent MRI examination with and without overlying moist swab and 2% lidocaine retrobulbar anesthesia after operations 2 hours later. Results The intravitreous lashes could be demonstrated on T_2WI in 6 animals and 17 animals without and with overlying moist swab and 2% lidocaine retrobulbar anesthesia, respectively. Conclusion The methods of artifacts-suprresing is useful for diagnosing intravitreous lases foreign body within rabbits at MR imaging examination.
