Abstract:
Objective To observe the effect nourishing yin, clearing away heat and detoxicating therapy on post-operational patients of uterine cervix cancer. Methods 160 post-operational patients of uterine cervix cancer were randomly recruited into a control group and a treatment group, with 80 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional anti-infective and nutrition-supportive therapy. The treatment group received TCM therapy of nourishing yin, clearing heat and detoxicating. Observe complications and prognosis in both groups. Results In the treatment group, there were 21 patients bearing with complications (26.25%), but no case with tumor metastasis and relapse. While in the control group, there were 43 cases bearing with complications (53.8%), 3 cases relapsed but no tumor metastasis. The differences between the two groups were statistically significant (P=0.0064, P<0.01) .Conclusion The therapy of nourishing yin, clearing heat and detoxicating can effectively prevent postoperative complications and improve quality of life.
