Abstract:
Objective:To assess the reliability and validity of the Self-rating Internet-using Scale. Methods:A sample of 1240 middle school students was selected for pilot evaluation of the scale.A test-retest study was conducted to evaluate the reliability among 130 middle school students. The data was analyzed by descriptive analysis method. Results:It showed that the test-retest reliability was 0.74,and the Cronbach's ? coefficient was 0.86.Factor analysis extracted 8 factors, with factor loadings between 0.382 and 0.811 and a cumulative contribution rate of 60.1%.When the cut-off point of the scale for diagnosis was 91(x+1.645s),the sensitivity was 26.9%,the specificity was 94.0% the positive rate of internet addiction disorder(IAD) was 6.8%.The positive rate of IAD in boys was significantly higher than that in girls(9.9% vs.4.2%,P
