Abstract:
Objective To investigate the clinical value and surgical skill of laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH) using uterus lifting cup and ultrasonic scalpel. Methods From October 2006 to September 2007, TLH was performed on 65 patients using uterus lifting cup and ultrasonic scalpel. Among the patients, 48 had hysteromyoma, 12 had adenomyosis, and 5 had grade CIN Ⅲ. After the uterus was resected completely using ultrasonic scalpel, the anterior wall of vagina was cut circularly along the upper margin of the uterus lifting cup to resect the cervix. Results TLH was completed in all the 65 cases without conversion to open surgery. The operation time ranged from 75 to 135 minutes with a mean of 102 minutes. The mean blood loss was 150 ml (50 to 300 ml). No patient had vaginal stump bleeding or injuries to the ureter, bladder, and rectum. The patients were discharged from hospital 4 to 6 days after the operation (mean, 5.2 days), and were followed up for 2 to 4 months. During the follow-up, the vaginal stump healed well. Conclusion TLH is safe by using uterus lifting cup and ultrasonic scalpel, which makes the procedure more convenient.
