Abstract:
Objective: To revise Frost's Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale (FMPS) within a sample of Chinese college students based on clinical knowledge and Hewitt & Flett's perfectionism questionnaire.Methods:Three hundred and fifty college students responded to the inventory with additional 15 items to the FMPS. Exploratory factor analysis was applied to the data. Results: The revised Perfectionism Scale consisted of 50 items, four subscales (Concerns with Mistakes and Doubts, Personal Standards, Organization, Parents' Expectation and Control). Factor analysis indicated that, the four factors explain 42.31% of the variance with loading between 0.37~0.79.
