Abstract:
An HPLC method for determination of paracetamol (PA), cafeine (CA), pseudoephedrine hydrocloride (PE), bromhexine hydrocloride (BH) and chlorpheniramine maleat (CM) in Cotussin capsules is introduced: The Chromatographic conditions are as follows: - Column: Lichrosorb Si 60 (250X4mm; 5m); Mobile phase: Methanol – pH 9.5 ammonium nitrate buffer (45 : 6); Flow rate: 1.5ml/min for measuring PE and CM: 1.0 ml/min for measuring CA and BH, 2.0 ml/min for measuring PA; - UV detector at 257 nm for measuring PE and CM, at 257 nm for measuring PA, and at 298 nm for measuring CA and BH. Experimental results showed that the method is accurate and precise
