Abstract:
Study on freshness tender buds of Laotian herb (Eupatorium odoratum L.) gathered on May and June. Anti-bacterial effects of juice Laotian tender buds on some strains of bacteria were evaluated by the sterilization diameters: Shigella flexneri: 16.5±0.5mm; Salmonella typhi: 13.5±0.5mm; E.coli:17±1.0mm. Laotian herb is available in whole country, easy to find and use, less toxicity, and can be used immediately for treating acute diarrhea caused by those bacteria.
