Conclusion The results suggest that the combination measurement of serum levels of IV C, LN and sVCAM-1 in DR patients might better evaluate the development process of diabetic mi-croangiopathy, and be of help for early diagnosis and therapy of diabetic microangiopathy. Serum levels of IVC, LN and sVCAM-1 in DR patients may be reliable clinical markers for assessing the severity and prognosis of diabetic retinopathy.
