Abstract:
Objective To assess the short- and long-term results of patients with Takayasu arteritis underwent intervention therapy. Methods A total of 13 peripheral arteries in 10 consecutive patients with Takayasu disease were treated with percutaneous transluminal interventions. The target vessels included 2 subclavian arteries, 5 renal arteries, 1 abdominal artery, lcarotid artery, 1 lilac artery, and 3 pulmonary arteries. Nine stents were implanted in 8 patients for suboptimal results or dissection. Results Angioplasty and stenting were successful in all attempted lesions.
