Abstract:
At present, coronary stent has been extensively used in clinic. It can significantly improve acute obstruction complication and vascular restenosis following percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty. However, restenosis also takes place after stent implantation, in particular for complex pathological changes. It has been demonstrated that thrombus, inflammation, and smooth muscle hyperplasia are three important stages for in-stent restenosis, and vascular intima hyperplasia is the major mechanism. After retrieving related articles, this paper discussed biocompatibility and restenosis of metal stent and drug-eluting stent, analyzed influence of stent implantation on collateral circulation function and inflammatory reactions, and explored the application of biodegradable stent.
