Abstract:
The serum sialic acid level and its relation to stroke in syndrome X was observed in 21 syndrome X patients with history of stroke,21 syndrome X patients without history of stroke, 21 simple NIDDM patients and 21 healthy subjects matched for age, sex, duration of diabetes and HBAlc level.The results showed that the serum sialic acid level was significantly higher in all NIDDM patients than in normal subjects(P
