Abstract:
Using the self—designed Aphasia Battery of Chinese(ABC),the authors examined245 normal subjects without a history of organic brain disease and 139 patients with aphasia followingthe onset of stroke and with single lesion demonstrated by.CT.In normal group,sex,age,handedness,and education level were found no significant influence on testing results.There were also no signifi-cant difference in the subtests of oral expression and listening comprehension among groups by educa-tion level.The characteristics of each type of aphasia were described.The results suggested that ABCis a suitable tool of aphasia examination for Chinese abult.
