Abstract:
Being a sensitive,accurate,non-invasive and simple method,the H_2 breath test (HBT) has been widely used in determining intestinal absorption,intestinal motor function,ex- cessive bacterial growth in the intestinal aad gastric secretion.The key technique in performing HBT is the measurement of the pauci-hydrogen in expiratory air.We have successfully developed the type-88 H_2 breath tester.According to the results of performance evaluated by the Natienal Standard Material Research Center and the reports of its clincal application,it is superior in both design and performance.This new tester is suitable for use in clinics and field work owing to its high performance and simplicity in operation.
