Abstract:
Objective:To investigate and evaluate the administration of antibacterials in the perioperative period of orthopedic operations for patients,and provide the reference for rational drug use.Method:The use of antibacterials in 173 patients undergoing orthopedic operations in our hospital from January to June 2007 was investigated in respect of the variety of drugs,medication time and drug combination,etc.Result:Of the 173 patients,the ratio of the perioperative use of antibacterials was as high as 94.8%,Cephalosporins were most frequantly administered preoperatively.27 patients (15.61%) received antibacterials 2h before operations.The average duration of administration of antibacterials was 9.3d. Conclusion:The application of antibacterials in the perioperative period is far from rational in our hospital.The prophylactic administration of antibacterials in the perioperative period in orthopedic patients should be standardized.
