Abstract:
Objective:To study the relationship of the angiotensinⅡtypeⅠreceptor(AT1R)gene polymorphisms with the essential hy-pertension(EH)in Chongqing.Methods:The AT1R gene polymorphism(an A→C transversion at nucleotide position1166)were detected by polymerase chain reaction(PCR)and restriction fragment length polymorphism(RFLP)in 104 EH patients and 100 normal controls.Results:The frequencies of AC genotype and C1166 allele of AT1R gene of the EH patients were obviously higher than those of the normal controls(AC genotype:0.240 vs 0.005,P
