Abstract:
Objective:To Summarize the experience of atrail septal defecf (ASD) closure with occluder by minimally invasive operation. Methods:Six patients with ASD were treated by microcnvasive method to close ASD with special occluder device. The age of patients was 27 to 57 years. The diameter of ASD was 22 to 40mm. All patients were anaesthetized and a 2-3cm long incision was made in the 4th intercostal space of right side of sternum. All the cases were treated with special occluder device under the echocardiography guidance. Results:ASDs of 5 cases were successfully occluded. No Complications happened. They were discharged from the hospital 3 to 5 days after the operation. After 3 to 15 months tracing,no risidual shunt was found, heart size and function were improved. Conelusion:The minimally invasive operation to close ASD with special occluder device is safe and efficient. The Long-term follow-up remains to be studied. [
