Abstract:
Objective:To study the clinical value of measurement of serum cholyglycine(CG)in the patients with hyperthyroidism to evaluate thyrotoxic hepatic damages. Methods:The levers of serum CG and ALT of 50 healthy volunteers(as control group)and 195 patients with hyperthyroidism were measured by radioimmunassay(RIA).Results:Serum CG levels in the patients with hyperthyroidism(including the preliminary diagnosis group and unrelieved group)were distinctly higher than those in control group and cured hyperthyroidism group(P0.05).The change of serum CG was accordant with ALT.There was favourable correlation between the serum CG and serum thyroxine. Conclusion:Serum CG is a sensitive and specific index to evaluate the thyrotoxic hepatic damages, and the level of serum CG is correlative with the disease course and the level of serum thyroxine.
