Abstract:
Objective:To evaluate the effect of procyanidins in protecting lens against oxidative stress.Methods:Rabbit's lenses cultured in vitro were divided into 4 groups:Feton model group(oxidative stress group),groups treated with 100mg/L vitamin C,100mg/L vitamin E, and with PC(50mg、100mg/L、200mg/L).After 24 hours of incubation,alteration of opacity was observed by photography and picture analysis;the histomorphology of lenses were examined under light microscope. The levels of slo-Prot,SOD,and MDA were tested.Results:The transparency of a1l lenses were different.The relative gray scale in Feton model and vitamin C group were lower than that in other groups(P
