Abstract:
Objective: To explore the expression of survivin,bcl-2 and mdr1 in acute leukemia in children and its clinical significance. Methods: The mRNA of survivin,bcl-2 and mdr1 in all patients were detected by RT-PCR.Results: The positive expression rates of survivin,bcl-2 and mdr1 in the newly diagnosed group were 60.47%(26/43N),60.47%(26/43N) and 34.88%(15/43N),respectively,all of which were higher than those in the control group(P0.05).The positive expression rates of survivin and bcl-2 in the CR group were significant lower than those in the newly diagnosed group(P0.05).Conclusions: survivin,bcl-2 and mdr1 have higher expression in children with AL,which may contribute to the pathogenesis and the progress of the leukemia. The expression of survivin and bcl-2 is not related to the type of leukemia and the WBC.The co-expression of survivin bcl-2 and mdrl may indicate the poor prognosis of leukemia in children.
