Methods: 83 patients with pain of meta-static bone carcinoma were randomly divided into two groups. Group I was treated only with morphine controlled - release tablets, Group II with morphine controlled - release tablets, diclofenac sodium and amitriptyline. The dosage of morphine controlled - release tablets, the adverse reaction and the medical cost were observed. Results: The dosage of morphine controlled - release tablets and the medical cost in Group II were obviously lower than those in Group I. The side effects were not significantly different between the two groups.
