Abstract:
Objective To assess the effects of Baclofen plus comprehensive rehabilitation therapy in treating patients with hemiplegic muscle spasticity after cerebral trauma and stroke. Methods Thirty-four patients were divided randomly into two groups. Seventeen patients of therapy group were treated by combining Baclofen and comprehensive rehabilitation therapy, and 17 patients of control group were treated only with comprehensive rehabi-litation therapy. The muscular tension and self-care ability between pretreatment and post-treatment in two groups were assessed by Modified Ashworth Scale and Modified Barthel Index.
