Abstract:
Objective To improve recognition of sacroiliacpathy in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Methods Clinical features and laboratory markers of 13 patients with RA combined sacroiliacpathy were compared with 67 RA patients without sacroiliacpathy. Results Male was predominate in RA patients with combined sacroiliacpathy. HLA-B27 or/and RF positive was higher in combined case. Radiocarpal onset and unsymmetrical lower extremity arthritis was more frequent in combined cases. Conclusion When RA patients have buttocks and/or lumbar symptoms, sacroiliacpathy should be considered. HLA-B27 typing and CT should be applied to find early changes.
