Abstract:
Objective:To investigate hepatic pathohistological changes(including pathology,HBV markers in liver tissue) in patients with chronic hepatitis B treated with lamivudine.Methods:35 patients of chronic hepatitis B were randomly selected and administered with 100mg lamivudine orally daily for 1 year. The needle biopsy of liver were performed before and after treatment. The routine HE stained liver tissue sections were evaluated and Knodell pathological score were done.HBsAg,HBcAg,?-SMA in liver tissue were examined by immunohistochemisty method. Results:After 1 year histological assessment revealed that activity index of hepatic histology in 41.18% patients had a significant decrease, while necrosis in portal area, portal vein phlebitis and fibrosis were oboviously alleviated. The liver immunohistochemistry examination showed that HBcAg and ?-SMA in liver decreased significantly in the patients with HBeAg seroconversion, but HBsAg had no obvious alteration. Conclusion:These results suggest that lamivudine(100mg/d) alleviate the inflammation degree, slow down the development of liver fibrosis after 1 year therapy.Once HBeAg seroconversion appears,HBcAg and ?-SMA in liver decreased.
