Abstract:
Objective:To study the relationship between the expression of TGF-? 1 and the formation and progression of experimental uric acid granulomas in rats. Methods:The formation and progression of granulomas in 30 cases of uric acid nephropathy, the expressions of protein and mRNA of TGF-? 1,moreover PCNA,?-SMA and collagen Ⅲ were investigated with ABC immunohistochemical staining and in situ hybridization techniques. Results:The mononuclear cells in granulomas and the injured renal tubular cells expressed TGF-? 1mRNA,and synthesized protein of TGF-? 1 and PCNA.In the late stage, the degree of the expression of TGF ? 1 and the deposition of collagen Ⅲ were in coincidence in granulomas.Conclusion:TGF-? 1 promotes the forming of granulomas by stimulating the proliferation in situ of mononuclear cells through autocrine and paracrine, and plays important roles in fibrosis of granulomas.
