Abstract:
Objective:To explore the dose-effect on ablation of human uterine myoma with HIFU scanning and find a suitable exposure parameters for HIFU ablation of uterine myoma in vitro. Methods:An extracorporeal HIFU transducer with a frequency of 0.8 MHz,intensity 0~8587.6W/cm 2 and focal length of 117mm was used.Thirty-one human uterine myoma specimens were sonicated by ultrasound with different intensity and exposure time. The threshold time and lesion size were determined and the energy efficiency factor was calculated. Results:It was found that under the same intensity, the lesion size increased with exposure time, while the threshold time decreased with the intensity. The energy efficiency factor was related to intensity and exposure time, and it was optimal under the threshold time (45s) when focal intensity was 5762.7W/cm 2.Conclusion:While using the scanning line of 15mm,the suitable exposure parameters for HIFU ablation of uterine myoma was 45 seconds for scanning lesion with focal intensity of 5762.7W/cm 2
