Abstract:
Objective:To investigate the effects of Taxol on QGY human hepatoma and its mechanism. Methods:The hepatoma cell growth was measured by MTT-microculture tetrazolium assay.Cell-cycle kinetics and apoptosis were analyzed by flow cytometry and microscopic examination. Results:Taxol inhibited the hepatoma cell growth in concentration- and time-dependent manners.Marked cells accumulated in G 2/M phase. The rate of cell growth inhibition was 78.6% after intervention of 56?mol/L Taxol for 72 hours. The cells showed G 2/M arrest and apoptosis. Conclusion:Taxol suppresses the growth of QGY human hepatoma cells in vitro by causing cell-cycle arrest, and apoptosis of the human hepatoma cells. The mechanisms of Taxol provide theoretical guidance for clinical treatments.
