Abstract:
Objective :To study the effects of ascorbic acid(vitamin C) on PKC -?1 activity in kidneys of diabetic rats. Methods :30 Wistar rats were randomly divided into three groups: Control group (group C), streptozotocin - induced diabetic rats group(group 13) and diabetic rats treated with ascorbic acid 90mg/(kg?d)(group DT). The concentration of ascorbic acid in plasma and kidney were measured at 9 week. The activity of PKC - ?1 was observed by immunofluorescence technique and laser confocal microscope.
