0 05,both).The mean level of COX 2 mRNA expression in active SLE group was significantly higher than that in normal controls ( P 0 05).Conclusion The level of COX 2 mRNA expression in active SLE group is markedly increased,which may be involved in the pathogenesis of SLE and provides a valuable scientific basis on the clinical use of specific COX 2 inhibitors.
