Abstract:
We measured the distances between both articular tubercles and between articular tubercle and foramen ovale of 120 skulls (80 males, 40 females) which were excavated from Tai Yuan area, Shanxi Province.By using the distances which we have measured and their correlations, we established two regressive equations:Y=31.33?0.03X for maleY=16.36?0.13X for femaleFor the clinical application of these measurements, one has to deduct the thickness of the skin and subcutaneous tissue from the results obtained by these equations.
