Abstract:
Objective: To study the effects of supplement of protein diet on intestinal tract in semi-starvation rats. Methods: Forty-eight male Wister rats were divided into control , 50% intake, 50% intake with supplementation of protein diet groups. SOD, MDA and DNA were determined in intestinal mucosa. Bacterial translocation rate in mesenteric lymphatic nodes(MLN) and xylose absorption were examined.
