Abstract:
Objective To study the curative effect on refractory frequent ventricular premature beat(VPB) by radiofrequency catheter ablation. Methods The refractory frequent ventricular extrasystoles of 18 patients were treated by radiofrequency catheter ablation(RFCA).The way of ventricular excited sequence and pacemaker-mapping was used to map and locate the site of VPB origin. When the original site of eliciting premature beat, where the excitation point of VPB appeared 20ms earlier than QRS waves of surface EKG or QRS waves of ablation electrode pacing electrogram were completely coincident with QRS waves of VPB,was localized, the frequency current should be delivered in situ. Results 18 patients were all successful, the success rate was 100%.No intraoperative or postoperative complications happened. Conclusion RFCA is an effective and safe surgical approach for frequent ventricular ectopic beats.
