Abstract:
Objective To study the expression of E-cadherin and ?-catenin in endometrial and endometriotic tissues of patients with endometriosis (EM) and to compare their expression in endometriosis at different stages. Methods Twenty-four EM patients were enrolled and the expression of E-cadherin and ?-catenin in endometrial and endometriotic tissues were determined by immunohistochemistry method. Normal endometrial tissue from 21 individuals was included as the control group. Results Compared with the control group, in E-cadherin and ?-catenin expression was shown in no difference between the secretory and the proliferative phase of endometrial tissue from EM patients.
