Abstract:
Study on 30 patients with breast cancer, from 40 to 57 years old in K hospital, Ha Noi. 30 healthy women in control group, from 45 to 57 years old. A significant decrease in activities of erythrocyte SOD, GPx and GR and plasma total oxidant status (TAS) was seen in breast cancer patients as compared to normal subjects. The parameters were significantly increased in breast cancer patients after operation as compared to those before operation. Plasma tumor marker CA 15,3 concentration was significantly increased in breast cancer patients as compared to normal subjects. The parameter was significantly decreased in breast cancer patients after operation as compared to those before operation, and it was also significantly decreased after radiotherapy as compared to those before radiotherapy. There was significantly negative correlation between erythrocyte SOD and GPx activity with plasma TAS concentration in the patients with breast cancer after radiotherapy
